An Act of Kindness Video

When any tragedy happens, especially when it’s in your backyard, most of us feel compelled to do something to help.

On December 14, 2012 Charlotte Bacon lost her life to the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School.  NewtownKindness.org and The Charlotte Bacon Act of Kindness Award were founded in her memory with the mission to encourage acts of kindness in our children while supporting the Newtown, CT community.

Last week, we were asked to help NewtownKindness.org create a series of video around their Charlotte Bacon Act of Kindness Award program.  Without even having to think about it, we rallied around their need and went to work.  We captured a few great pieces of video and photos in Sandy Hook on Sunday, including an insightful and candid chat with Aaron Carlson, the founder of NewtownKindness and father to Ava, one of Charlotte’s dear friends.  We did animation work today and will be editing a rough cut tomorrow.  Our plan is to have the first video up on YouTube tomorrow afternoon.

We are so honored to be able to do this Pro Bono work, this “Act of Kindness,” to support NewtownKindness.org and all of our neighbors in Newtown.  Stay tuned for the outcome of our work together.  In the meantime, our hearts and thoughts will always be with those, like the Bacon’s, who have suffered such tremendous loss.  We hope in some small way what we are doing helps.
