Welcome back. Just a quick update for you this week. Enjoy!
Facebook recommends CTA buttons and internal videos.
James Borow, CEO of Facebook Strategic Preferred Marketing Developer SHIFT, discussed what was successful for Facebook in Q1 2014. It was found that advertisers have had particular success with Call to Action buttons and Facebook-specific videos.
Facebook has seen a lot of traction with the Call to Action buttons. The ability to customize Call to Actions by making sure that the ad types are tailored to help reach advertisers goals within News Feed ads has been incredibly successful.
Advertisers are also embracing the native video format. Uploading a video directly to Facebook, rather than liking to an outside site, has shown that the ad tends to perform 5 times better. “When our advertisers are using Facebook’s native video format, as opposed to something like a YouTube link, the performance is almost 5 times better. That’s a really telling stat.” Also, SHIFT clients, have seen an increase of 80 percent in video ad spending on Facebook. Source
