Hey Everyone! Thanks for checking back in for a quick update on what has been happening this week in the world of social. Here’s what we got!
Twitter acquired the new app Periscope that lets users share their experiences through live video on their mobile phones. On the broadcaster side, Periscope allows users to instantly notify their followers that they are broadcasting live, offering their audience the ability to feel like they are experiencing the event alongside the broadcaster and interact with it. For the viewers, they get the chance to relish in the moment and feel like they are experiencing it too. It is in real-time, the right here and now. Viewers can interact with the broadcaster through messages and send love (hearts) by tapping the screen. Source
Facebook launched Blueprint, an online and in-person education and training program for agencies, partners and marketers. Those who enroll have the ability to register for online course, along with in-person training and receive certification. The education and training programs offer everything from campaign optimization to how to use video effectively to ad measurement solutions. Blueprint also offers Learn How for small businesses and marketers who are new to Facebook and need help with Facebook Pages and Ads. Source
See you the check in next Friday!
