Meet the Hackables

Scope of Work

Let's face it - families are anything but perfect. Especially around the holidays. So how do we help protect them from the syber dangers swarming around them this season? We take inspiration from the classic holiday movie, "Christmas Vacation," to portray the misadventures of a family, "The Hackables," whose holiday activities go awry at every turn, like giving up a social security number to a cyber criminal and responding to a phishing email. Fortunately, McAfee is there to help them (and the rest of us) be smart and safe.

Cast of Characters

We developed personas that told stories (across the web and social) in a relatable, engaging way and ultimately helped to protect the rest of us that might act like them.

Each persona represented the different demographics that McAfee targeted throughout the campaign.

The Web Experience

The campaign lived on landing page where users could scroll through each scene, read about character's mishaps, and learn helpful tips to avoid cyber issues throughout the holiday season.
