Don’t Judge a Book by its Cover

This is a stunning performance that is worth the time to watch.

Susan Boyle, an unemployed 48 year old woman who claims she’s never been kissed, auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent (the UK version of AI) and sang I’ve Dreamed a Dream from Les Mis. By first glance, you think this lady is a hot mess and a total waste of time (like 65% of talent reality show contestants). However, the voice that is inside her is so phenomenal it rivals even the best of recording artists, professional singers and Broadway stars.

Certainly, it makes you think twice before being judging on impulse. How many products/services/people are out there that are marketed so well that their performances aren’t always up to par? For example, the Shamwow, some tax prep services and Lindsay Lohan, just to name a few. On the other hand, there are a ton of products/services/people that have the potential for a stellar performance, but are in need of a little marketing help for someone to highlight their best features and maximize their full marketplace potential.
