GIF, a.k.a. Graphics Interchange Format, is a simple image format that supports animations. GIFs have become an integral part of internet humor in the past years, acting as the structure for all those kitten-in-box animations you so love.
The designer Matthew DiVito has pushed GIFs beyond furry silliness, opting instead for the hypnotic, geometric and beautifully looped. Posted below are some of my favorite DiVito animations.
