RIPE Bar Juice Tastes Better Than 99% Of Beverages

A dive into emerging CT brand RIPE Bar Juice, complete with snazzy infographic and promotional ideas.

A Not-So-Quaint Party

It’s a beautiful June evening so you decide to have some friends over for drinks on the veranda. Everyone arrives in high spirits, still riding the early summer buzz.

You duck inside to whip up some margaritas–a little tequila, ice, margarita mixer, a little more tequila, blend. The frothy mixture is poured and brought out on a rustic cherrywood serving board. Everyone is delighted–cheers all around, glasses clink, and the first sips.

Quiet sets in.

Your guests appear green in the face, sweaty. Jamie faints, so does Rob. Marcie screams “What the hell have you served us?” and then she faints. You have no idea what’s going on, until you run inside looking for the first-aid kit and spot the bottle of margarita mixer and its first ingredient: high fructose death syrup.

Maybe you should’ve used something more natural, less fructose-death…

Something like Connecticut’s own RIPE Bar Juice, the natural cocktail mixer that is delighting palettes and not killing your guests.

The RIPE Mission

I spoke with RIPE co-founder Michel Boissy, who said his and co-founder Ryan Guimond’s mission from the start was to create “the freshest, most natural and delicious bar juice.” Mission complete. The original concoction of Agave Margarita paved the way for San Marzano Bloody Mary, Agave Lemon Sour and more, with new flavors releasing every few months.

“It’s juice as nature intended it to be,” said Boissy, who kept stressing that Mother Nature has already completed the hard work of creating flavors–Ripe just tries to maintain those flavors.

Up to this point, the company’s marketing focus has been “getting the product into people’s mouths,” accomplished through “1,000s of in-store tastings and demos,” which has helped get RIPE Bar Juice into swanky chains such as Whole Foods and the Meat House, along with bars, restaurants and cruise ships all over.

We came up with some promotional ideas for RIPE, which they along with anyone else is welcome to commandeer. If one of these makes you filthy rich no hard feelings.

“Juice” Ain’t Juice

Fruitball

RIPE employees roll around the city in a giant gerbil ball that resembles a lemon (or maybe mango). Bonus points if they hook up juice cannons that shoot RIPE margaritas everywhere.

All in all, we dig RIPE Bar Juice. Do yourself a favor and make a nice cocktail.
