We don’t get very much down time in the office, especially the creative team, but when we do it is inevitable that they will be thinking of something to challenge each other in. Recently, Matt and Robin decided that they would try to find some art for the back wall of their office space. Robin thought it would be a great idea to hang minimalist movie posters, because who doesn’t love movies and a good design?! Robin and Matt then decided, why waste money on buying the posters when they could just design ones of their own.
So Matt, of course, saw this as a perfect challenge. How many posters could each accomplish in a short amount of time? Within in an hour and a half, each created three posters! Check out the six posters they’ve created so far:
Robin, as the office all knows, is a Trekkie. She is in love with Star Trek movies, so she decided to design the Star Trek IV poster, and is planning on designing all 11 movie posters at some point.
She also designed the poster for two of her favorite movies, Tron and Garden State.
Matt designed Star Wars “A New Hope”, “Empire Strikes Back”. He was inspired by a link Robin sent him (www.starwarsposters.com).
The third poster is for“Leon”, one of Matt’s favorite movies. He based the visual off of the main character’s obsession of drinking milk out of the carton.
